The Saturday morning Annual Alumni Association Meeting was led by President Lenny Duff # 975 who reported that the Alumni Association is functioning quite well with more assigned roles and expectations of all Board Members and Officers.  The Association will be focused on producing a large turnout at Homecoming 2026 and making the new Spring Rendezvous at Lenny’s place on Hamilton Lake, just outside Angola, a significant regular alumni/undergrad event. 2026 date is set for June 13, 2026!!

The UG Chapter reported they have made a significant mark on Trine’s Campus life by virtue of currently holding down the President of the Student Senate, Inter- Fraternity Council and Skull and Bones….all being Alpha Sigs!! They had two pledges at Homecoming – Clint Miller and Easton Swint. They are also collaborating with Trine to put on a monthly dinner food cart type event.  The last two had over 400 and 600 participants respectively.  They are expecting another large spring pledge class with a goal of 7-10 new brothers.

The most prestigious award that a brother volunteering at the ΑΣΦ Chapter level can earn is the Delta Beta Xi. This National ΑΣΦ award was presented to Mel Budreau # 902 for his work on and management of myriad projects for the Old Gal. His guidance and work as our landscaping extraordinaire has won campus awards for the aesthetic qualities of his work and leadership.  He and his wife, Vicki, cover as our Alpha Sig House Parents, and do an amazing job in this role at the House.

And the tradition of our Sweetheart Ceremonial Song continued with the current and former lovelies shown below.

Of course, Saturday night ended with a social at the Old Gal. Homecoming ’25 was its usual fun time with the Brotherhood.

The Chapter does not allow campaign solicitations at Homecoming, but the main topic was “how close we are to paying off the Old Gal’s Mortgage in just 10 years”?
