Alpha Sigma Phi’s Haunted House fundraiser was a major success, drawing strong attendance, enthusiastic community feedback, and raising approximately $1,450 to support fraternity initiatives. The event showcased our brotherhood’s creativity, teamwork, and commitment to engaging both the campus and the greater Angola community.Revenue from the event was shared between Alpha Sigma Phi and the Kappa Sigma Alpha sorority, and came from multiple sources: at-door admissions, merchandise sales, and food truck partnerships. We also donated 10% of total proceeds to a local animal shelter, reinforcing our commitment to service. Merchandise included promotional shirts and bracelets—shirts were sponsored by eight local businesses, each contributing $100, which covered production costs of $8 per shirt. We sold them at $10 apiece. Bracelets were sold for $2 and doubled as free admission passes, incentivizing early purchases and boosting turnout. Additionally, we earned a percentage of sales from the Beached Boys food truck, a recurring partner in our events.The success of this event was made possible by the dedication of all 28 active brothers, who constructed rooms, created decorations, tabled across campus, and worked inside the haunted house. The sisters of Kappa Sigma Alpha also played a vital role, helping withtabling, decorating, and volunteering during the event.

From October 20th to 23rd, both organizations worked tirelessly to build the haunted house and promote it throughout campus and the community.Throughout and after the event, we received overwhelmingly positive feedback. Many attendees noted significant improvements over last year’s haunted house, and several guests commented that our event far surpassed the one hosted by a neighboring fraternity the following weekend. This year, we also made a special effort to encourage participation from the Angola community, and were thrilled to see a strong response. In conclusion, the 2025 Haunted House was more than just a seasonal attraction—it was a testament to what Alpha Sigma Phi can achieve when we come together as a brotherhood. Through collaboration, creativity, and commitment, we delivered an unforgettable experience and strengthened our presence on campus and in the community. We’re proud of the outcome and excited to build on this momentum in the years to come.
